The Documentary Group

Until the Light Takes Us is a new documentary about Norwegian black metal. The way their website describes it:

[Norwegian black metal is] the most malevolent musical genre in existence, whose surprisingly articulate founders hold complex sets of extreme nationalist, anti-Semitic and anti-Christian beliefs. Unlike musical purveyors of evil who do so only for the sake of showmanship, these young friends actually practice what they preach, engaging in rampant church burning, suicide, and – as notoriously chronicled in the European media – murder.

It’s in theaters this winter. I’m really looking forward to it, it looks like a really interesting documentary about a morbidly fascinating genre.

UUUM, that’s scary. I live here. Luckily the people in my town are mostly sporty-types and hipsters, not black metal.

We also are now accepting submissions from non-members. Just click the SUBMIT button above to submit.

First search the site for the documentary you plan on posting. Only post a documentary twice if you can follow up a trailer or image with a full video.
If the video can be viewed in full online, post it with your description. Tag it with "full video". If it can be seen in full on Netflix Instant tag it "netflix instant"
If the documentary can be viewed in full but is under 30 minutes, tag it "short"
If it can not be viewed in full online, try to find a trailer to post. Tag it "trailer"
If no videos are available, post an image with your description of the doc. (500px width minimum)
Tag your post with a few relevant keywords. Keep your keywords short. Don't be redundant. No need to tag anything with "documentary."
Include relevant links e.g. Wikipedia, Amazon, IMDb, iTunes, or Official site.
